Scope and content
Item is a two-page personal letter, dated March 28, 1942, written by a Mrs. M. Ujiye to Jisaburo Wakabayashi when he was resident at Work Camp B 23, Thunder River, BC. The writer outlines family news, thanks Jisaburo for news of his safe arrival in Thunder River, and asks after his health and safety. Return address on letter states “R.R. No. 4, New Westminster, BC.”
Name of creator
Henry Wakabayashi is the founder of Pacific Liaicon Ltd., he has helped many major projects such as the Vancouver Sky Train, the expansion of the Vancouver International Airport and the Metro Vancouver drinking water treatment program.
