This item is a memorandum, dated 08 July 1942, that concerns Japanese Canadian labour on Blue River Highway. This memorandum discusses the conditions and concerns in the work camps, primarily with regards to Japanese "dissatisfaction and resentment" leading to potential acts of sabotage and protests. In particular, the memo expresses anxieties about Japanese labourers working in close proximity to railway lines without sufficient security "to remove all danger of sabotage."
