This series contains eight files pertaining to Japanese Canadian veterans wishing to return to fish in British Columbia waters, property loss sustained by Japanese Canadians because of theft or forced sales by the Custodian, loss claims of Japanese Canadians being submitted to the Bird Commission, the start of Bird Commission hearings, Tom Reid's claims that Toronto lawyers are "stirring up" Japanese Canadians to request re-appraisal of their property, and government counsel admitting that Japanese Canadians may have been reimbursed for seized property at less than market value.

The digital copies of the records were acquired by the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective between 2014 and 2018.
