Samejima was arrested on another warrant after his discharge, after the events in Canada v Samejima 1931 (44 B.C.R. 317) and filed another application for habeas corpus proceedings. This was dismissed by Justice Murphy, on the basis that the problems in the original warrant were remedied in this second warrant.
