Visitors can search the case file collection by family name or case file number as well as by keywords or phrases that appear in the descriptions of each file. Search results can be filtered by the nationality of an individual (as indicated by the file’s creators), as well as by gender of the individual, birth and death dates, whether the individual was exiled to Japan, and the length in pages of the case file.
